Abstract:
The Qamdo red strata in eastern Xizang is adjacent to the north Lancang River suture zone (LCS). It is a newly defined red strata series in recent years. In order to further enrich and improve research on red strata and landslides, based on detailed field investigations, this paper summarizes the geological genesis models of red strata landslides in Qamdo, eastern Xizang, from the perspective of structural geology restricting the boundary conditions of landslide development, and briefly analyzes typical cases of different types of landslides. The results show that, under the influence of regional orogeny, the Qamdo red strata in eastern Xizang were tilted and developed a large amount of penetrating structural planes with weak physical and mechanical properties. The geological genesis models of red strata landslides in Qamdo, eastern Xizang mainly include five types: primary bedding type, bedding fault type, bedding joint type, fold joint type, and fault joint type. The structural plane is the main controlling factor of the development of red strata landslides. It is suggested that, based on clarifying the tectonic evolution process and tectonic framework of the study area, the development characteristics of the structural plane in the landslide area should be meticulously delineated, to provide theoretical support for revealing the internal mechanism of landslide development, monitoring, and engineering prevention.
